#466876#AFCCCA#E4D9C5Connect the spaces through an opening
Include a desk, a seat, and an opening toward the sea. Decide on the opening’s size first. You can let the room dominate or make the possible sitting place small so the water becomes the main presence.
Give the wind one visible effect
Choose one visible effect of wind: a curtain, a page, or a plant. You need not fill the image with swirling lines. One detail can connect the still room with something happening beyond the frame.
Keep the important place clear
Reduce detail around the place where you want someone to pause. The desk does not need to be full. Finish with three sentences: where you would sit, what you would notice first, and what you would want to do there.
Make it a small practice
- Decide on the opening toward the sea.
- Let one object suggest the wind.
- Remove unnecessary detail around the place to pause.
